Deb Link, MA LPCC LAMFT
I am a therapist because I believe life was meant to have purpose and meaning.
I also believe people are relational at our very core and that, many times, purpose
and meaning happen in the context of relationships. However, it doesn't take long
to recognize that relationships also create the potential for stress and pain. I
work with individuals, couples and families to help create safe relationships in which
people can grow, change, and reach their full potential. Whether you are a newly-married
couple or a couple in the midst of divorce, I believe your life will be richer if you
can live in harmonious and respectful relationships.
My undergradute degree in Educational Studies is from Northwestern College in St. Paul, MN.
I completed a Master's degree at Bethel University in Counseling
Psychology and have additional training in marriage and family therapy from the Adler
Graduate School in Richfield, MN.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family
Therapist. I am also a Qualified Neutral under Minnesota Rule 114, which enables me
to act as a mediator in family law cases. I have training and experience in Dialectical
Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and experience working with a variety of age ranges and diagnoses.
I have worked as an in-home family therapist as well as in an outpatient mental health clinic.
My specialties include individual therapy with adolescents who have emotional and behavioral
disturbances such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Aspberger's, Oppositional
Defiant Disorder (ODD), Anxiety, and Depression. I also provide family therapy and parent
coaching. Some other areas of interest include grief therapy, suicide prevention, and exploring
spiritual searching and doubt within the therapeutic context.
